About

Built in a real lab, for the line nobody likes.

Lab Check Off started in an electrical engineering lab at Oregon State University. Every week, students waited with their hands up while TAs tried to remember who was next and wrote check-offs on paper. We built a queue that runs itself, so TAs can teach and students can keep working.

Now anyone can use it: a university course with forty sections, a high school teacher, or a tutor with a Gmail address.

What we believe

Four promises we design around.

Fast for the people in the room

Checking in takes seconds on any phone. The queue updates within seconds, even with hundreds of students watching.

Free enough to actually use

A full class runs free for a whole term. Going over a limit never cuts off a live lab or a student check-in.

Student data stays with the course

Only a course’s own staff can see its students. Every staff action is logged, and students can download or delete their data.

Plain and honest

No dark patterns and no surprise charges. Clear limits, and a clear notice before anything changes.
